Sparkplugs News · Swimmers working hard, preparing for County championship meet

Speedway’s swimmers have been working hard this season and several personal bests have been achieved during the first phase of the season.   Senior Emma Allison (photographed here at last year’s sectional) has set back to back personal bests in the 100 breaststroke as the Sharkplugs while junior Kristin Pagach swept four events in the season opener at Decatur Central.   The Lady Sharkplugs have defeated all but one team so far in dual meet action and prepare to face Tri-West on December 8th in their last dual meet before competing in the Marion County championships.  Tentatively this meet will be held next weekend at Pike with one gender competing on Friday and the other gender competing on Saturday.   More information will be released the week of the event so visit @SparkplugSports on Twitter for more details on the 18th.

There is no public attendance currently at all home meets but the Sharkplugs return home in January for dual meets with Ben Davis, Cardinal Ritter, and Greenwood.   Those meets can be viewed via Zoom.    For more information on how to view the events, stay posted to @SparkplugSports on Twitter.
