Senior Bradley “Carter” Giacone is excited about his opportunities beyond Speedway. On Tuesday afternoon, Carter signed a letter of intent to play football at Hanover College.
“Hanover has a beautiful campus,” said Giacone who plans on competing at quarterback. “They seemed to care a log about academics and they do a lot to ensure their students succeed.”
Giacone completed 50% of his passes this season and threw for more than 1400 yards this year for the Sparkplugs. And he is also considering adding baseball to his Hanover list.
“It’s possible,” added Giacone. “They will be keeping in touch during the spring.”
“My parents have always been in my corner supporting me with whatever I do,” noted Giacone. “And my coaches have helped make me the best player I can be and to be a good teammate. I would just encourage everyone to stay focused on grades before athletics.”
