Camiell Perry efficiently led the Sparkplug offense, tallying six assists while turning the ball over just once. Perry also hit four 4th quarter free throws to hold off the Cardinal rally.
Freshman Daniella Galvez made her debut count, earning a double-double. Off the bench, Galvez scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Seniors Maddie Barnes and Brooke Hartman combined for 17 points as the Sparkplugs open the season with a non-conference victory over a 4A opponent.
